L'Enfant Plaza
Aug 1, 2010 by Deb from Toronto
Overall Rating: 6 User Rating Score: 6

  • Convenient location, above subway, clean outdoor pool with life-guard so safe for kids.
  • Expensive parking! Not within walking distance of restaurants and attractions.

“No fridge was available the first night and than had to request fridge several times before getting one, so have to say service was poor. The rooms were large but vents and ceiling looked dirty. Hotel valet parking was charged $37 per day with in and out privileges and all-day public parking nearby was $28 per day! Nice location above Metro stop, however the hotel is isolated in that there are no restaurants within walking distance for dinner, and the usual Washington tourist sites are also out of walking distance.”

  • I like how they are holding the flag up.
  • Nothing. I love everything.

“I love this piece because it shows that people really care about our troops and it makes me so happy that I wish everybody would put there lives on the line to save someone else. But that job is for the brave people.”

New York Avenue Presbyterian Church
Sep 2, 2007 by Bill from Adelphi, MD
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Tour conducted by very well informed lay leader!
  • None

“A friend and I visited NYAPC on labor day Sunday at the 10:00 am service. Next week, the church switches back to 11:00 am. We had a delightful visit at the church. It just oozes with history. We enjoyed the worship service, the pastor was very friendly and approachable, and the several lay leaders we met were equally as receptive to visitors. Visitors are welcomed to sit in Lincolns original pew which we did. We took the church tour afterwards and found it most fascinating. The church does much outreach to the poor and disenfranchised in the area. Highly recommend anyone to visit.”

Ford's Theatre
Aug 9, 2006 by Michael from Tustin, CA
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Fascinating historical site.
  • If on a tight time schedule, the plays can interfere with your visit.

“The level of care and attention to detail taken to restore this theater to its original configuration and condition is exceptional. The opportunity to see the spot where Lincoln was shot is awesome and I'm so grateful this building is not lost to history forever. The museum in the basement, which contains some incredible items (the pistol used to shoot Lincoln, the clothing and boots worn by the president that night, Booth's dagger, etc.) is absolutely fascinating. If you visit D.C., this is an historical "must-see".”
