Water Wall
May 3, 2009 by Jamie from Harrisonburg, VA
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • The shock of seeing the amount of water pouring over the wall.
  • The security guards were peculiar asking everyone where they parked and forcing people walking dogs to leave.

“My husband and I visited the Water Wall during our first trip to Texas, and we weren't sure what to expect. We parked at the Galleria parking deck and walked less than a block. It turned out to be one of our favorite stops in Houston. It is a grand architectural accomplishment and provides sheer wow factor. We enjoyed the mist on a hot spring day, took nearly 100 pictures, and found ourselves giggling and holding hands as we stood beside the wall.”

Houston Amtrak Station
Jan 4, 2009 by Natalie from Fort DAvis
Overall Rating: 7 User Rating Score: 7

  • Air conditioned place to sit.
  • Dirty bathrooms.

“This station is small but there is an area to sit and a few TVs. The bathrooms were smelly. I would recommend walking across to street where there are lots of restaurants and attractions.”

Glenbrook Golf Course
Aug 31, 2008 by Bill Waymen from London
Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • Challenging layout.
  • Bad food, dirty grill area, dirty bathrooms. The whole building is a pig sty.

“The food is overpriced and lousy. Forget a real greens keeper, you won't find one.”

Sam Houston Race Park
Jul 3, 2007 by Cathi from Houston
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Betting windows and machines.
  • Valet parking is a long way from the seating areas!

“Great venue for horse racing as well as other events. Do wish that children were not allowed at the races. I love children, but some places are not appropriate for kids. The food served in the main dining areas and the clubhouse menu is really quite good, although service is slow during peek times. I do love the horses, so I'm a big fan of Sam Houston Race Park! Glad, the owners come up with ways to bring in revenue during the off season so they can afford to keep the track, the facilities so nice.”
