“Just a couple blocks from the MAX station. Lots of dining, coffee, grocery store options in the area. Great low budget, no frills motel.”

“Would definitely recommend to the budget traveler. Was very impressed with the hotel. Close to the MAX, Trader Joes, Hollywood Bowl, Laurelwood Brew pub.”

“They had hazmat bags for waste can liners; it seemed as if it was a drug hotel.”

“This was supposed to be in downtown? Too far out. It was generally substandard, even for a 1 star. No fire alarm in one of the rooms, smoking in the "non-smoking" rooms, light coming in around the door, bathroom fan grille beat in, stained flooring in the bathroom, furnishings in bad repair, too much to list in full.”

“Ban field is a basic, clean 1 star motel in the Hollywood district of pot land. There is plenty of car parking and the motel is close to max (the train) and buses. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had two double beds, TV, microwave, fridge, unsuited, table, clock adios/alarm, chairs and storage. Towels and soap provided but not shampoo or a hair dryer. Coffee is provided, but you have to go to reception to get it. The pool was closed for winter. Overall, the motel is good. It¿s not fancy, but is clean, comfortable and good value. Wireless internet is also available in the rooms.”

“We were given the key to a room that was already occupied. Once they corrected that and we got into our room, we discovered that one of the beds had holes in the sheets and stains on the pillow case. Our room was comfortable and had plenty of workspace. We were uncomfortable leaving belongings in our car or in our room unattended.”

“This hotel is off of the freeway, and easy to get to. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but once you get on the inside it is great. I will stay there again.”

“This motel is comparable to a motel 6. it's better in that it has a fridge and microwave. They did not up my offer with the $5 "coupon" they sent me.”

“Due to construction, this hotel is even harder to access from the Banfield and requires making a loop around the block. The restroom was filthy and the beds were at least 20 years old. The sheets looked dirty, although I will confess, I think they were washed--it looked like a blood stain on one. The only nice thing about the hotel is that it had a decent size refrigerator and microwave.”

“Unless you enjoy trying to sleep with a busy interstate hwy. and bone shaking metro train rumbling by at all hours of day and night, I would not recommend staying at this motel. The area is also of highly questionable safety as is the structural condition of the floor of the room I occupied. I have stayed in better accommodation at a transient hotel in the middle of a large city, for less money.”

“Standard expectations of hotels apply to this one. The room had a mini-fridge, microwave and cable TV and was clean. For a temporary stay, it's sufficient. Near a rural business district, Subway, Quiznoz, several Thai restaurants and family restaurants and an ice cream parlor are within walking distance. For those like myself who do not own, or did not rent a vehicle, there is are convenient bus stops scattered about the area, as well as a train stop just a few blocks away, able to whisk you to the airport or downtown Portland on short notice. Overall, an enjoyable stay to help familiarize someone with Portland, Oregon.”

“This hotel wasn't as bad. Definitely on the cheap side, but there was a microwave and small refrigerator in my room, plus carpeting looked new. Lamps and bedding pretty worn, however. Staff was friendly to me during check-in.”

“Similar to a Motel 6, this place had a couple of extras like a microwave and fridge or freezer. The bathroom looked very clean and well organized. At first I was afraid because the exterior looked dated and the parking areas were dark. The front desk faces most areas of parking, so it wasn't too bad. Overall it is a great place to stay for the money.”

“Our non-smoking room had been recently used by a heavy smoker and it stank. The sheets were so poorly made that the fitted corners pulled off the mattress both nights we were there. A light bulb was burned out, and though the surface was clean, the bathroom was grimy and sections of floor were worn through, as was some of the finish on the tub. The person on duty when we arrived brought up some room deodorizer and a machine to freshen the air which eventually helped.”

“I had a non-smoking room but there always seemed to be someone smoking right outside of my room. So, there was no opening of windows. And it just did not feel right compared to all of the other hotels that I have stayed in.”

“I was very surprised to find that this was our hotel. The lobby looked like someone's living room, with old furniture, a space heater, and an unlit Christmas tree. The first thing we noticed about the room was that it smelled really bad. Outside was clean and it seemed safe. Doors definitely need deadbolts, I put all my luggage against the door at night.”
