• It was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels in Los Angeles.
• It was dirty. The sheets were unclean, the bathroom was unclean, and the room was lacking the usual supplies that I would find at another location.

“Pay a little more and stay elsewhere.”

• Good value for the price in an expensive hotel town(L.A.).
• Amenities have to be asked for(iron, board, hair dryer).

“Furnishings are contemporary and attractive, room is very spacious, and everything was clean. Otherwise, this is a hotel for sleeping and bathing and little else. If you need a good quality base while you explore the area and want a good value, then this is a step up from the chains. If you want complimentary breakfast and a big lobby with a business center, this is not your place. I would stay here again, but you need to set your expectations appropriately. In short, this is a very upscale hostel.”

“Nice location away from the busy Hollywood area - free parking is a a plus and staff are very helpful. We were also able to book a half day due to a late flight - they were very flexible.”

• The staff was amazing and the rooms were very neat & clean.
• The hallways smelled a bit musty.

“ The rooms were modern, the bathroom was beautiful. The staff (front desk) was very nice and helpful. The televisions in some rooms didn't work and a gentle man was having a problem with the shower (we overheard) as we checked out. But overall our experience was surprisingly pleasant. They are in the midst of renovating and improving the facility and they are doing an amazing job. I will certainly stay here again.

• Everything. Bad location and general condition.

“I would definitely recommend travelers to stay away from this hotel. Very old hotel with strong bad odor. Poor location. No decent restaurants in the neighborhood. Relatively far from main roads.”

• Location, facilities, smell, blankets with holes, insecure, faucets with oxide, uncomfortable beds, breakfast, customer service is horrible, everything.

“The cost of this hotel is way to high for the quality of the facilities, it is old, the location is in an horrible area, the carpets seems like it's never been cleaned, the comforter had holes, smell like pee and humidity, we had to let run the water in the sink for minutes to have all the oxide run out of the faucet first, the lock in the door was so fragile and insecure, the staff was so rude.”

“The room was ok. The refrigerator was too loud to keep running. The molded growing in the bathroom was alarming.”
