• It's proximity to the beach and downtown attractions.
• Did not receive a copy of bill at check-out. Hope there will be no surprise charges later.

“We have stayed here twice before and enjoyed it, this visit is great also. Location to local attractions is excellent.”

• It was close to beach.
• It was old and the breakfast area well there was no breakfast area.

“ This was our first trip to Galveston although we had a great time there, this hotel was old, and sure not worth what we paid for. The breakfast area was horrible, only about 2 tables for families to sit, the access to the pool was walking up and down the stairs from the other side with two kids, just not worth it so we didn't even use it. ”

• Nothing.

“ The people were nice,however our room had roaches. Plural, and when I told the lady at the front desk she just made a note, no apology no refund. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. ”

• Location and price was great.
• Bathroom was not cleaned properly.

“ I love La Quinta! I will stay at them all the time, but this was honestly a let down for me. The bathroom wasn't clean and a bit small. There was small pieces of trash on the floor behind the door, hair on the toilet and in the shower and the shower curtain was disgusting! The beds and the room were nice and comfortable, as always. ”

• Directly across from the beach.
• I didn't like that some of the rooms were on the back side and didn't face the beach. Also, didn't like that Denny's was in the their parking lot.

“ I feel this hotel is more a one star hotel but fine for the price I paid. I would not pay full price for this hotel. The price of the hotel without going through Priceline was too high. The deal I got through Priceline was reasonable for this type of hotel. ”

• The location.
• Rented 3 rooms for overnight at the beach, two rooms were very nice, the 3rd room was filthy!

“Staff was extremely nice. Location was GREAT! Just one very dirty room, previous room renter had a pet and whomever cleaned it did a horrible job.”

• The breakfast they provided was great, waffles, muffins, bagels, and fruit.
• Did kill 3 spiders in the room.

• Location on the seawall and lovely staff.
• Parking and entrance to hotel parking dangerous in a way.

“Very nice hotel for price. Nice view of ocean. Clean rooms. Great staff. Walls are a bit thin. So traffic neighbors kind of distracting. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Sandy pool, but thats expected on the beach.

• Ice machine didn't work.

“The hotel was not bad for the money. It was nothing fancy, but everything was nice and clean. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Would stay at again.”

“Our room had black mold in the bathroom. My wife is taking chemo for cancer, I did not think that was safe for her so I put her in the second room.”

• Staff was very friendly-especially manager.

“Hotel was clean on appearance, smelled musty, staff was friendly but this was no more than a hotel 6 in my books, not much other than a clean bed.”

• The front desk area was more nice and clean also the dining area.
• We did not like the dust on the TV and tables also behind the end table by the beds and the molded dirty shower curtain no water adjustment.

“The hotel is ok, just old looking and our room needed to be cleaned more such as dusted behind the end tables by the bed an on top of the TV and the shower curtain was dirty and molded plus the faucet in the tub was to hard to adjust the hot and cold water. TV did not show a good picture.”

• A large group took up a lot of parking spaces and were partying. Management did nothing after we complained.

• I did not like anything about this hotel.
• It felt like a cheap motel that was paid for by the hour.

“Hotel was disgusting. Although I was only staying in Galveston for night, I refused to treat myself and my fianc so badly. The staff was ok and helpful but the hotel was horrible. From the moment we drove from the lobby to our room, we were dumbfounded. The place looked so trashy. Our room smelled moldy, the bathrooms were somewhat clean I was scared to look at the towels. We try to use the wireless but it wasn't working. We called the lobby but the static on the phone wouldn't let us through. I couldn't take it anymore so we left within 30 minutes of our arrival. They were nice enough not to charge us so kudos to them for that. We drove to San Luis Resort. Got a nice room for a decent price with a beautiful view. I recommend that to anyone, anyway. Nothing beats comfort and cleanliness.”

• Water front across the street.
• Black mildew on shower walls and bathroom floor, wallpaper falling off wall.

“The bathroom including the floor and the tub was covered in black mildew, the tiles on the floor was just laying there rocking when you walked across them. Wallpaper falling off the wall. Had an iron but no ironing board had to use the table to iron the clothes. The location was the only good thing about the place, right across the street from the water front.”
