“This was the first time I used Priceline.com to bid on a hotel. After my bid was accepted, I was terrified by the name of the Dream New York Hotel. I thought, great... I just won some cheezy dive! Fortunately, I was dead wrong! The place was modern, clean, above average service and much like a luxury hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the Dream New York!”

“My overall experience was great!! I was greeted by a very friendly bellman as soon as I stepped out of the cab. The staff at the check-in desk were friendly and willing to help answer all my questions that came up during the week. The bartender at the bar was very nice and had lots of recommendation for shopping and eating. The hotel was not traditional which made my NY City experience more fun. The room was modern-small, but very clean, comfortable and quiet. As a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe. I would stay again and highly recommend it to anyone going to NY City.”

“The hotel was great! All the bad reviews that I had read prior to staying here scared me, but they were totally wrong. The location and amenities were great! I loved the fruit on the pillows every day. The restaurant in the hotel was really great as well as the service. I will stay here again!”

“Great trip and the hotel we chose was a big part of it. Well situated and comfy; good staff and no complaints (or bed bugs ).

“Dream is a nightmare. Mattresses are old and linen is synthetic cotton blend. Late night disco on the roof didn't end until after 3:00 am, made it impossible to sleep and even after complaints the hotel offered no compensation.”

“Really friendly staff. Unique decor, the blue lights in the room made for a fun time. When we called room service for ice and champagne glasses, they were there in less then 5 minutes. Great downstairs lounge. The best value I have ever met in NYC!”

“When I saw this hotel online I was very excited to arrive, but when we walked in our room we weren't too excited anymore. "King" about it, it looked like the standard room I had seen online. I love the creativity of the room with the blue accent with the lights, and such but the room was way too small, and there wasn't a counter in the bathroom to use. I loved the rest of the hotel, the lobby was very nice, and we enjoyed the little time we spent on the top floor at the bar with a nice view, but I really wouldn't stay there again because of the small room that we paid far too much for. Pretty disappointed when it came to that.”

“The room was small, there was only a single sheet on the bed rather than blankets and a comforter, which I found odd, especially for cold nights in NYC. When I requested blankets from the front desk and maid, I got a single tattered blanket that didn't help at all. I wound up going home with a horrible cold due to being so cold at night. They also charged 5 things to my account from the mini bar which I did not take, and when I called to inquire about my bill and left a voice mail, no one called back.”

“This seems mostly like a hipster clubbing hotel. It was decorated in an odd, modern/Asian style and it seemed like all the money was in the decor and not the rooms. The room was tiny, had a tiny bathroom. The shower was like those I experienced in India in which there is no wall or door, just a curtain separating it from the rest of the room. The closet also had no door. The bed was comfortable and there were nice amenities in the room including a flat-screen TV and BOSE stereo. It was also very clean and the staff was helpful and nice. The biggest problem was that the dance club on the 12th floor came pounding through the walls of our 8th floor room until 3 am on Friday night. Would recommend for young, single people who want a novelty hotel and don't care about space or noise. It's close to Times Square and party places and seems to be frequented by the night-club crowd. Would never take children there - aside from being too small some of the art was a little too close to inappropriate for me to be comfortable having kids there. I personally much more enjoyed my stay in the Holiday Inn Express 5th Avenue during my previous stay in NYC and would choose to go there again before coming to the Dream.”

“Many travelers have said that the rooms are small, and, indeed, they remind us of rooms one might find in Europe, but we travel with light luggage, and we do not spend a lot of time in the room, which was quite clean and comfortable. I would stay at The Dream again, with pleasure.”

“My husband and I spent one night at Dream Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was small, but quiet, clean and very nice. Staff were cordial and helpful. The location was excellent - close to the theater district and not far from a number of museums including MOMA and Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was also just a short cab ride away from Penn Station, which suited our purposes well.”

“The hotel has a modern look and feel. The room was very small with a full size bed, and absolutely no view though we were on the 12th of 14 floors. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Close to the subway and right on Broadway.”

“Extremely well located, friendly staff, clean rooms. Decoration a bit too modern for my taste, and rooms were not too spacious. Overall, good value (at Priceline rates).”

“The staff was very friendly. The noise from air conditioning unit made it impossible to even have a conversation in our room. when I checked with desk about a different room the alternative was just below the party lounge that was going to be open until 4:00 am.”
