• Everything.

“The room was bad. They called other hotels in the area to do price checks when we were present eating breakfast in their small lobby. Not at all what we expected. We booked the hotel for two nights and only stayed one. We looked up their price in the local brochure and it was cheaper than what we got it for if we would have booked it direct.”

• You really didn't hear the other guests from other rooms. That was great, the staff was great too.
• The ice machine was broken.

“We had a great time with our friends that went with us. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We weren't bothered by other guests. It was a great weekend.”

• At least the "no smoking" rooms didn't stink of smoke!
• Noisy, poor customer service & attitude, coffee maker broken at breakfast.

“ It was a place to stay that was pet friendly. The rate was good and the bed was comfortable. The "free Wi-Fi" didn't work and they made no effort to help. There was a lot of noise from the rooms upstairs but it ended around 11:00. The room did have a fridge and microwave - we didn't use either, but wish we had. The coffee maker was broken at breakfast - nothing being done to fix it, no alternative offered. The breakfast offered nothing "special" so we skipped it. All in all - it was clean and some features were really nice and others kinda ratty. Wouldn't stay there again if offered a choice. Oh, and we left the dogs asleep in the car that night.

• Nothing-the room was poor in quality.
• The freezer in the fridge was frozen shut, toilet wouldn't flush.

“I am going to contact this hotel for a refund because of how poorly run it was. The freezer in the refrigerator was so frozen shut that it couldn't be used. In order to flush the toilet, you had to hold the handle down for the entire cycle. A maid should have picked up on both of these problems and reported them to be repaired. It was a very poor stay, even though it was economy, it should have been much better than it was.”

• Noisy,
  very small breakfast area, dingy decor, scratchy sheets.

“Would not stay again. Hotel was dingy, noisy.
The room hadn't been cleaned. The walls are so thin we could hear every word from the room next door. The sheets were scratchy.”

• The manager was wonderful, helpful and friendly. The rest of the staff was the same.
• Dirty, smelly, dank, bad paint, in need of renovation.

“I expected a one star economy to be small with no frills. They got that part right. I did not expect a dirty smelly place. I will never stay at another Guesthouse Inn.”

• The room was large enough to move around in. There was plenty of storage for our belongings and housekeeping kept up on the room.
• On our second day our room key would not work so we had to get them to rescan our keys.

“The hotel is centrally located with stores and restaurants very nearby. They provided us with a nice continental breakfast more than toast/muffin and juice. There were vending machines on the floor with an ice machine which was very convenient. We had access to wireless internet, cable TV, coffee maker with condiments and microwave/fridge for our use in the room. The bathroom was complete with a tub/shower and was fully stocked with clean towels, soap and shampoos. The beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding. We also enjoyed air conditioning.”

• Price and location.
• No pool, small lobby, filthy carpets in rooms and common areas.

“Good price. Location was good. Could pass on all else. No pool. Carpets were filthy. AC unit was noisy & broken. Lobby/breakfast area were very small.”

• Nothing. The place was full of tattoos and smoke.
• Dirty entrance with giant overflowing ashtray, very smoky/no air conditioning in hallways or lobby.

“Absolutely dreadful. No one seemed to know the rate. We completely skipped the breakfast - only 2 tables. We didn't expect the Ritz but a clean/updated room like Shilo Inn would have been good. We will never be back-a tent would be better with the fresh air.”

• There was some hair left in the room, probably from the cleaning staff.

• Location was near many restaurants and shops and easy access to the interstate.
• Noise through the walls/floor was a problem.

“The location of the hotel is good, although might be to close to the highway for some people (noise). The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Lobby/breakfast area was very small and only had 2 tables. We did not eat breakfast, but there was a waffle maker, although it did not look like there was much else (space was very limited). It is a split level, so you have to go up or down stairs, no elevator and no ground floor rooms. All areas need updating. Bed was okay but I would not want to sleep more than one night on it. I did like the green (colored) washcloth for makeup removal. I know this can be a problem and liked the way they came up with a solution. I would not stay there again.”

• Easy check in and out. Quiet.
• The carpet REALLY needed cleaning. No elevator. Parking went into overflow.

“Was centrally located. The room was spacious with only one double bed and recliner. Full size tub/shower. An elevator would have been good but was on second floor so made it OK. No noise.”
