• Was a good choice with children.
• Breakfast room was a little small.

• The beds were very comfortable.
• The bath tub was gross and wouldn't drain.

“The hotel has limited access from the road which made it very difficult to get to. The hotel had boxes all over the hall ways and was cluttered. The staff was friendly; however, didn't speak very good English making them hard to understand . The breakfast served was not what you would normally get for a continental breakfast by that I mean it was below par.”

• Poorly furnished, and not comfortable.

“The location was horrible. After three tries, I finally found the alley that I needed to turn into. The alley entrance is in the lane that enters the interstate highway; if you miss it, you have to enter the interstate and take the next exit to circle around again. There was a very small sign competing with IHop. I didn't see the sign until the third try.”

“Room was clean and located adjacent to the Freeway. The continental breakfast was yummy and filled us up before a busy day with family. I would recommend this hotel.”

• Friendliest staff, excellent breakfast.
• Thin walls, very noisy.

“We started off with the friendliest front desk man. He made us feel very welcome. Our room was surprisingly accommodating, very clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our first night sleep was kind of rough considering we were right by the stairs and on the second level with the third above us. People walking up and down the stairs and in halls and rooms above could be heard by there steps and the vibrations on walls. I called and complained around 10:30 in the evening and the noise was stopped very quickly. We were very surprised at the breakfast layout. There were not only your regular continental spread, but you could make waffles, biscuits 'n' gravy, and a great assortment of other items. Being that the hotel is right next to an IHOP we had no temptation to pay for a breakfast or deal with a busy restaurant. The one other surprising thing is that the computer was right in the front lobby and there were no fees to use it like most places do for the internet. We were most impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the quick action they took to satisfy any requests or complaints.”

• Great continental breakfast.
• Hot tub jets were shooting water up and out of pool; had to turn them off to enjoy the tub; water not hot enough.

“We were concerned that our room was right next to the elevator, which was rather noisy when inside of it. However, we did not hear the elevator in our room and we slept well in a very comfortable bed. The sumptuous continental breakfast offered many choices and was very satisfying.”

• Location.
• The room was smelly.

“The staff was friendly and they had a surprisingly nice continental breakfast. The elevator almost felt like it would break at any minute and the room smelled musty, but overall it was a good experience.”

• A little noisy.

“Good place to stay, charge $30 for our dog, kind of steep compared to other motels, especially since she is small in size. The pass to the health club was great. Clean, but kind of noisy, but we slept well.”

• Very basic, has slid in quality since change to comfort inn.

“I'd look for another place the next time Im in Coeur dAlene the price value relationship at this hotel has taken a nose dive since it left the Fairfield group.”

• Very friendly and helpful staff.
• When I got there the lobby and hallways didn't look like they'd been cleaned recently.

“Very convenient, just off the freeway. All the amenities were solid. Internet signal was strong (at least in my room) and the housekeeping people did a nice job. They don't seem to advertise it, but you get a complimentary pass to a nice fitness club for each day of the stay. It's across town, but fairly convenient otherwise. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but wasn't bad either. The employees were all friendly and helpful. For the money, this is a good value. Not fancy, but not expensive, either. Btw, the heater/air conditioner was quiet. Don't get that very often anywhere. I didn't use the pool or hot tub, but they seemed to be clean and orderly. I wouldn't stay here on a romantic getaway, but for the business traveler or overnighter, it's a good value.”

“Found this hotel to be exactly what I have come to expect with Fairfield Inn. Spacious rooms (enough room to actually set up a crib in the room and still be able to move) accommodating, friendly staff, and clean well stocked rooms with a full range of toiletries, instead of having to go down to the desk and see if you could obtain some. The refrigerator in the room is a must have for those of us traveling with infants. Very family friendly.”
