“Decent hotel for the price - made to order breakfast included! Convenient location and nice views of the Snake River.”

“The desk clerk had a staff member who was parked in staff parking go out and move his own car so that we could park closer to the hotel.”

“My second stay at this particular Shilo Inn. Service was mediocre at best. When a power outage occurred for over an hour, we took the stairs down 4 floors.. The stairways did not have emergency lighting. There was only decaf coffee in the rooms and the breakfast buffet was horrid. It was cold, slimy and flavorless. Not impressed, even at a discount.”

“Worst hotel experience ever, and we travel a lot. The rooms have had a face lift, which makes it look OK in pictures, but it's all crap painted gold. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, bathrooms were cramped, no vending machines for middle of the night needs (I just needed some apple juice for my daughter's medications - my only option was to buy a glass of cranberry juice at the bar!), breakfast "buffet" was very pitiful, with the same stale offerings every day. Our room was right above the covered entry to the main lobby, so we heard ALL of the street traffic and ALL of the hotel traffic all night long. Worst part about this hotel: the bar on the main floor. It is a very popular karaoke bar, apparently - it was packed every night with loud, obnoxious bar hoppers. The noise from the bar carried right up to our room. One of our nights there was Halloween night, which made it 100 times worse, noise-wise. Hotel staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. I don't know how this hotel gets a 3-star rating, among Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express. This is a 1.5 star hotel at best. No enforcement of handicapped parking, either. Had to park clear across the parking lot on Halloween night, and carry my disabled daughter the whole way, because of non-handicapped partygoers parking illegally in the handicapped parking. Told front desk staff; they just shrugged their shoulders. When leaving the hotel, front desk clerk checking me out didn't even have the courtesy to ask how my stay was. Lucky for her, I guess. I would have given an earful. If you are looking for a loud bar or party, where you want to be able to just roll off the elevator and pass out in bed after, this is probably the hotel for you.”

“Extremely comfortable, great location for walks along the Falls. Front desk was the friendliest bunch of people in a hotel that we've met. Everything in the room was crisp and sharp looking, appealing to the eye.”

“
Big, nice rooms and good value hotel. The room, however, was quiet and comfortable.

“The rooms were very spacious. I enjoyed staying at the Shilo Inn. The coffee in the front lobby was wonderful. The breakfast was the best I have have at a hotel. The pool did have too much chlorine. Couldn't stay in very long. Loved the balcony.”

“This hotel if falling apart. It was under construction and very difficult to get around in. The chairs were dirty and stained. The sliding glass door was broken. The hideabed had dirty linen and when I advised the front staff, they gave me more linen. We changed our own sheets. The free breakfast was not worth it. My son's biscuits and gravy had a hair in it. Very dissatisfied with our stay. I would never recommend it to anyone!”

“We stayed here nearly a week. During that whole time, the elevator near our room was out of order. The ice maker on our floor was also broken for our entire stay. The room comes with a free breakfast, but the food was very poor. The hotel is understaffed and the staff that is there is friendly, but very young and inexperienced. They don't understand their customers needs.”

“It was nice. I'd like to stay again (but bring my own pillow next time) and have more time to use the poolk and walk around the river-it was very nice.”

“So far, my two stays with Shilo Inns have been less than what I expected. I can say from those experiences that they are not up to the standard where they should be.”
